With the news today that former GOP Congressman Riggleman (also “former” career USAF Intel (NatSec Deep State) officer, and TDS-Stage4 enabler of the House J6 Select Committee to Prohibit Free Speech) is assisting unindicted tax-and-gun felon Hunter Biden in protecting him from GOP investigations into his lawlessness and his father’s eagerness to sell-out our country, it seems the GOP has found another way to remain in the minority they seem to cherish. A GOP congressman screwing-up the GOP investigation into the Biden Crime Family likely will help that investigation go nowhere, thereby depressing both fundraising and turnout.
This assuredly is the goal.
Add to this the massive retirements in an earlier cycle (2018?), the only purpose of which possibly could have been to avoid becoming the majority, the appalling debt ceiling theater, McCarthy (again), McConnell (again), and McDaniel (again), and it’s a wonder any voters remain loyal to a party absolutely not loyal to its voters or their country.
The GOP blocked the GOP president when GOP voters gave the GOP the presidency and both chambers of congress in 2016 to do what every GOP campaign had run on for decades. The losers wouldn’t even undo the single most unpopular piece of post-war legislation, BarryCare, the repeal of which nearly every single GOP legislator had been running on for six years.
The GOP, not one time since returning from the wilderness in 1994, has acted as the majority nor forced the Dems to act as the minority.
I used to think the GOP just didn’t know how to play this game; it’s now obvious that they do - like the Washington Generals, they just play to lose.
I’m not at all sure of the purpose of the Republican Party anymore, a party I joined in 1972, and of which I became a life member in 1980. I departed the party, re-registering as an Independent in 2020 after the GOP did, essentially, nothing at all either to prevent or to contest that obviously corrupted election. This decision was confirmed via the lack of interest by the GOP in contesting the steal from Lake in 2022. Had the GOP done either, they’d probably have the majority they’ve worked so hard since the 1950 election not to gain. (Remember the disdain in which the GOP establishment held Gingrich for the unforgivable faux pas of winning? Gasp.)
Can’t have that!
If GOP leadership knows the purpose of their party insofar as supporting their platform or their voters … or America … perhaps they could enlighten the country?

They are all corrupt. Not much will change until we experience another color revolution- re George Floyd and now like France. We are just to far down the road in my humble opinion. I don’t relish the thought but many are close to the tipping point.
