The Kuomintang fought as much against the Red Chinese in WWII as they did against the Japanese. The Kuomintang was as corrupt as the Communist but more visible about it. We were wise to avoid a land war in China to prop up Chiang Kai-shek against Mao. We were foolish to "open up" China in 1972. The price of annihilating China or Islam is too high. We should just prioritize staying strong enough to ward off the world's bad guys by making them know that messing with us is a bad deal for them. If we are to win then let it be by competition in commerce, ideals, by living prosperously & productively and having happy lives. Let others see how things are working out for them by being putz's. Meantime, too few are listening to either of us, right? Antonio Gramsci is looking up from Hell and laughing at us.
