The Gaza Problem
Controlled burn or forest fire?
The problem for Israel in burning Gaza to the ground is that Israel not only is not self-sufficient (they need allies, natural resources and trading partners), but that Jews live all over the globe - Israel doesn’t want all of them targeted if it can be avoided. If they evaporated Gaza, Jews everywhere would become immediate targets - and the entire “international community” would be against Israel, would have no desire to stop others killing Jews anywhere and everywhere, and would prevent trade with Israel much as the “international community” boycotted S. Africa.
We all know how S Africa is turning out: worse for everyone. Once you kill the farmers, everyone starves; once you end law-enforcement, the criminals have free rein - much like in American metros today. Could Gazans survive absent food, water, fuel, electricity from Israel? No more than S Africans are surviving having murdered or driven-off the farmers and released criminals from prison. Blacks in S Africa noting that life was easier and safer under Apartheid are the same as American inner-city blacks resisting and objecting to the calls by Democrats not walking in their shoes - not living in their inner city - to make their lives poorer, less-safe and less-free by disbanding police and decarcerating criminals, calls made, mostly, by an ignorant and empathetic, feminized left.
Interestingly, those calling Gaza an “apartheid ,” will accomplish - are accomplishing - exactly what they accomplished in S Africa: nonstop, ever-more-brutal violence, primarily against themselves.
That the left is too stupid to understand this should not surprise; nothing ever done by the left has resulted in other than mass death, from the Jacobins to the Democrats.
We - the US, the only ones who could’ve stopped this - refused to just annihilate Islam as anything more than a regional belief system when, arguably, we could & should have, say, in 1948, when Islam made their course evident toward Israel, having learned, post-Holocaust, that the rest of the world really didn’t care, there still being huge animosity towards Jews after that atrocity. (Helping to dissolve the Ottoman Empire didn’t help much, either.)
Evidenced by the uber-pampered Western college kiddies, the rest of the world still doesn’t care.
We annihilated the NAZIs & Imperial Japan, contained the USSR until it imploded, but lacked the historical awareness and foresight to reduce Islam - which is worse than the ideologies we stopped. Why? The absurdity still driving the West in general and America in particular: an unrivaled naïveté that everyone is just like us if given the chance. Those to whom Hamas didn’t disprove that infantilism last Saturday are not worth engaging.
Kinda like China - we could’ve annihilated the Beijing communists when they first reared their heads in 1949. Again, we refused. The cost of not doing the right thing at the right time can be existential. In ten short years of the Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward, the Chinese murdered about 80,000,000 human beings. Their own human beings. The left adores them.
Yeah - Islam needs to be reduced. But we’ve decided, instead, to let them destroy us. Which is why you’re hearing the muslim call to prayer from loudspeakers near Ground Zero.
Just like controlled fires keep a forest healthy, mankind, too, only can be kept healthy through controlled destruction of weeds both intellectual and ideological. Carthage, Charlemagne, both the French and American revolutions, the Franco-Prussian wars…. controlled burns, not forest-destroying conflagrations.
After 1945, when we ended a conflagration (caused by the US & the UK pouring gasoline on the controlled burn of yet another Franco-Prussian war in 1917) we ignorantly and arrogantly decided that no more controlled burns would be allowed. This led us to Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait - all of which were controlled burns none of our business, but that we decided to enlarge… the latter of which led directly to 9/11.
(Vlad is doing a controlled burn in Ukraine, & the uniparty warmongers are demanding it be turned into the biggest forest fire ever. Idiots.)
Then the idiot Bush family ignited a completely unnecessary fire in Iraq…… and the regional forest is burning down.
What’s the difference between Iraq doing a controlled burn on Kuwait and W igniting Iraq? Saddam lit a small fire of extremely limited consequence; literally no one would’ve noticed had it been allowed to complete thinning the brush; the Bushes brought the world’s largest arson brigade and lit the entire region on fire.
Why do Americans do this?
Weirdly, having created the most successful economy, (what was) the freest nation and the most powerful educational and scientific establishments in history, which led directly to the most powerful military in history, Americans, for unknown reasons, have the universe’s biggest inferiority complex: we want everyone to like us. This all is downstream from that.
There’s this, seemingly immutable, need to pretend all cultures not only are the same, but are peopled with similar intellectual & moral capacity, desires and dreams. This allows Americans to pretend we’re all the same in the fantasy that acting as though this is true will relieve Americans of their inferiority.
We are depriving humanity of further progress by the only people who ever have made tangible and moral progress by our absurd need to pretend every adult human being has an identical capacity of intellect, motivation, interest in the future and prosperity, and desire for liberty. (This is the root of Affirmative Action and DEI.)
This is not nor ever has been the case, but we’re in the process of destroying ourselves and our liberty and the freedom of our children over this obvious idiocy.
Much of this is because we allow the childless to vote and hold office, which is absurd. No one lacking personal interest and investment in the future should be allowed anywhere near policy for that future. Not raising children means one has no understanding that every human being is different from the very start (and therefore will create different cultures, belief systems and societies). It’s mostly the childless who yak about nurture, for example, while parents - those with experience in forming new human beings - understand the enormous part played by nature. Those on the nurture bandwagon pretend that how a human being turns out is completely outside that new human being. Those on Team Experience know that every human starts from a different set of blocks and, though nurture has an impact, nature is decisive: you’re smart or you aren’t.
What SHOULD happen? Easy: Islam should be reduced to a localized and unimportant belief system. It brings to the world nothing positive, only huge negatives. For its own people, for those nearby, for those exposed to it, for all of humanity who must deal with it and its consequences. It’s been going backwards for centuries and shows no sign of turning itself around.
But … it is thriving. Its fertility is above that of most other’s (though it, too, is crashing…), it understands that government, however defined (theocracy, democracy, autocracy, whatever), is about power, with empathy having little place.
But burning down Islam is a forest fire. Until the left forces the flame, Israel will do what needs to be done. Their metaphor is “mowing the lawn,” mine is “controlled burns.” Both are small, limited actions undertaken with the intent of preventing the overgrowth of negative incursions into the environment.
Erasing Gaza would put that land to much more productive use to the betterment of the region. It would end the lack of liberty of those living there - and voting for Hamas, for example. It would be a net positive for humankind. Farms, orchards, reservoirs, could spring up from that desert just as they did next-door in Israel. Families not in-thrall to the most evil ideology in the history of the world would blossom.
But it won’t happen. Islam once had those. Taken-over by fundamentalists a few centuries ago, its “Golden Age” was burned to the ground.
In the next few weeks, Israel will be conducting a controlled burn of the current incursion.
If the planet is lucky, America will not turn it into a forest fire.

The Kuomintang fought as much against the Red Chinese in WWII as they did against the Japanese. The Kuomintang was as corrupt as the Communist but more visible about it. We were wise to avoid a land war in China to prop up Chiang Kai-shek against Mao. We were foolish to "open up" China in 1972. The price of annihilating China or Islam is too high. We should just prioritize staying strong enough to ward off the world's bad guys by making them know that messing with us is a bad deal for them. If we are to win then let it be by competition in commerce, ideals, by living prosperously & productively and having happy lives. Let others see how things are working out for them by being putz's. Meantime, too few are listening to either of us, right? Antonio Gramsci is looking up from Hell and laughing at us.
