The EU: Failing its People; Serving Masters they Failed to Recognize
How is the USA any different?
If one looks at large political unions not organically formed, the USSR & EU being two primary examples, one sees a single, too-big-to-succeed displacement of smaller, organic entities whose Darwinian evolution was halted as they formally were absorbed into a political entity solely for the power of the leadership of the inorganic conglomerate, regardless of the destruction of the economies, jobs, lives, customs, traditions, culture, liberties, families and futures of the denizens of the polities disappeared by the whole.
China, too, falls into this category as it was built both organically over millennia and inorganically via centralized absorption of independent groups via force and has grown recently via forcible absorption and enslavement.
Over time the frictions arising within these artificial structures held together only by force of economics (EU) or force of military power (USSR, PRC) become too great, the centripetal forces of the previously-independent component parts too strong, and the structure fails.
The USSR put down independence movements built on the desired recovery of sovereignty of previously-independent polities in 1956 (Hungary) and 1968 (Czechoslovakia) using direct military force: tanks in the streets. In 1989, the Wall came down and the USSR failed. In China, also in1989, an organic yearning for freedom by the Chinese people was met in Tiananmen Square with tanks and troops machine-gunning thousands asking only for their freedom.
In Europe, the millennia-old desire for and recognition of liberty caused dissolution to succeed. In China, with no background of liberty, freedom failed.
That the EU is failing its people is evident to any objective observer. BREXIT was only the leading indicator; Meloni, Orban, and Wilders are indicators of the continuing rising pressure for sovereignty and liberty
The GAE response to Ukraine, the massive and unwanted illegal immigration and its concomitant destruction of lives and culture, and the climate hoax soon will finish the job.
The USSR, in large part, was pulled apart by absorbed satellites, the EU is being pulled apart by independent polities sucked-in against the will of their peoples.
It’s good to recall that European voters rejected the surrender of their culture, traditions, sovereignty and futures to the supra-national EU three times before being weighed-down with promises that often proved ephemeral, finally voting-away their future to authoritarian eurocrats not accountable to them.
This has happened three times in EU referendums – in Denmark on the Maastricht Treaty in 1992-3, Ireland on the Nice Treaty in 2001-2, and Ireland again on the Lisbon Treaty in 2008-9. As is becoming the case in America following the 2016 election - defacto rejected and then hobbled by the political establishment via Russiagate, and the 2020 election - stolen by that establishment with no court willing to risk evidence of the steal, Americans, like Europeans, are being told to keep voting until we get it right.
One of, perhaps the, primary vehicle of national independence is a sovereign national currency accountable - via free markets and legitimate political authority - to the people.
National currencies still exist in some European countries: those in which the people were allowed to vote on the euro displacing their sovereign currencies rejected it. Only in countries in which the euro was forced on the people without their vote has it displaced their sovereignty and is leading to their destruction.

The United States falls into this family of large political unions with accelerating centripetal force. Formed semi-organically in the face of British colonialism but lacking any other organizing principle, prevented from separating organically and constitutionally by Lincoln, it is coming apart as the centralized government continually exceeds the Supreme Law of the Land that created it and gave it the limited powers it now rejects at its whim.
Centralized power was forced down inorganically from above by Lincoln, Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Obama, and now by “Joe Biden.” The pressure-escape valve voted by the people, Trump, was rejected undemocratically and against our will.
Our national currency lost accountability to the formal political authority, the franchise , with the establishment of the Federal Reserve owned not by the popular government or will of the people, but by a very few, very wealthy individuals accountable to no one. But it did leave us with an essentially free and independent means of transaction: cash.
The forthcoming CBDC will provide a repeat of the euro in that no one voted for it or wants it, it will be managed by an entity unaccountable to the people, and it will tie us inescapably to the centralized government ever-encroaching on our liberties without our permission. Our independence will be gathered-in by a government not, since 2016, even pretending to accept the will of the people as it gathers in our cash and our freedom to spend the fruits of our labor as we see fit.
How much longer we will accept an increasingly-tyrannical centralized government that has illegitimately thrown-off the sovereignty of We the People who are formally in-charge is an unknown. But that time is getting closer, faster.
As in Europe, our desire for independence we only thought we still had is accelerating due to illegal and uncontrolled immigration - the laws we passed to control it being rejected by those we hired to enforce them, by the increasingly-accepted knowledge of the utter nonsense that is the climate hoax, and by our continuing and unconstitutional going abroad in search of monsters to destroy.
Any informed view of America will see component parts, in Red and Blue, chafing against the other with strengthening demand for, or rejection of, centralization and what only can be called tyranny.
As with the USSR in the last century, soon in both the EU and America the realization that the larger polity has only negatives, no positives, holding together its component parts, ultimately will be its undoing.
Pressure prevented from escaping under Trump - unquestionably the people voicing their demand for a return to us of the control over our own government using the Constitution in which we still believe - is reaching the level of dissatisfaction that will, if not prevented by force by an authoritarian Deep State, cause the American project to come apart.
For the sake of liberty, it can’t happen too soon.
