This is a branch off my post yesterday about the OG Democrats taking-back their party.
https://alexanderscipio.substack.com/p/are-the-og-democrats-taking-back
It’s also a post for those still thinking Trump will do this time what he failed to do last time.
Newsflash: he won’t.
… and for those thinking he can win:
Newsflash: he can’t.
Consider: if 2020 wasn’t stolen, he can’t win 2024; if 2020 was stolen, he can’t win 2024.
This time in choosing between the devil I know (the GOP) and the devil I don’t (RFK Jr), I’m going with the latter.
I don’t see any R with the same political skill, knowledge or drive to destroy the NatSec/Pharmafia/pro-war/anti-free-speech State (if one really can differentiate them) that is possessed by RFK.
Think about it. When confronted with opposition (which assuredly will exist in any attempt to annihilate the Deep State), what does the GOP traditionally do? What’s their guaranteed game plan? Surrender.
What’s the game plan of Democrats? Win, no matter the cost.
So … if we have a D, RFK, with a serious desire to win for both political and personal reasons vs an R, DeSantis, who already has reversed for the Deep State (eg Ukraine)… the reasonably predictable outcome would be that DeSantis will surrender and RFK will not.
Ultimately, I may regret my choice, but I’ve pretty much regretted every GOP choice I’ve made - they keep bamboozling my vote and then keep going Prog/RINO. Even Reagan grew the government.
It would be insane for me, when presented with what seems a viable, anti-Swamp alternative, to go GOP…. again… and expect a different result.
Your mileage may vary.

Not that we should wish for it . . . But yes, Trump could win in 2024.
The reasons (for me) are not many, but they are worthy:
No China surprise Covid, and other aid from Beijing
The woke giants --- Hollywood, the glitterati, the faculty longes, EdBiz, BigPharma and Wall Street --- will, of course line up against Trump
But they are nowhere near as powerful, or even as respected, as in 2020.
(And no, 2020 election was not stolen. Not the way a candy-bar is stolen.)
I agree. He reminds me of why I first joined the Democrat Party, which I left irrevocably in 2009.
